Ruger von Ruthen is a gorgeous 12 month old sable German Shepherd.  He’s a big boy with a big personality and strong on leash.  His enthusiasm is obvious when he meets you because he may attempt to give you a bear hug.  What was once a cute little puppy is now a big ball of energy who is lacking in manners, so basic training is a must for the lucky family who adopts him – and can start with the free obedience session that comes with his adoption.  Spirited and carefree, Ruger is the life of the party with his humans.  In canine playgroups, he meets other dogs well but tends to be overly pushy; he gets along best with tolerant dogs.  This lovable galoot with shepherd smarts has energy to spare and will do great with active owners who like to jog, hike, etc. and who will establish boundaries in order to let Ruger know that they are the ones in charge.
